Frequently Asked Questions

What is an insurance broker?

An insurance broker works on behalf of you, our client to sell or negotiates insurance contracts for both individuals or businesses. We typically help individuals or businesses find and purchase car insurance, home insurance, business insurance, and certain investment products.

Just like agents, brokers are regulated by the states in which they do business, and must obtain the licenses required by individual states.

Is it better to use a broker rather than an agent?

One of the best reasons to use a broker is the amount of choices that they can offer.

  • Brokers know the best fit for your personal or business needs.  Most times we will be able to provide quotes from several different companies.
  • By comparing multiple quotes, you may be able to find the same or better coverage at a lower cost.
  • Brokers receive the same training as agents.  We are licensed and educated professionals who provide the advice you need to make the best choice.
  • An insurance broker can most likely provide for all of your insurance needs—from home and car insurance, to coverage for your business and more.
